Some reports suggested that the bomb was carried in the backpack of a suicide bomber, who dressed as a student stood in the midst of the students as the morning assembly was on-going. About 79 other students who were injured have been rushed to Potiskum General Hospital, not too far from the school.

Lagos State Police arrest two teenage boys for homosexual act

The Lagos State Police has arrested two teenage boys, Gideon Harrison and Ifeanyi Ezeorji, for allegedly having sexual intercourse with each other in the Ikotun area of Lagos.

According to PUNCH metro Harrison is 19 years old, Ezeorji is just 14. Our correspondent gathered that the two boys were arrested on October 23 by the Ikotun Police Division. According to the police, Harrison and Ezeorji had sex with each other through the anus, an act known as sodomy.

While Ezeorji was a Senior Secondary School pupil 1 in Igando High School, Ikotun Road, Harrison had finished secondary school education.

PUNCH learnt that the complainant, one Toheeb Adekunle, who stays on Muka Street, Ijegun Road and works inside the Ikotun Motor Park, caught the two boys in the act, and reported the matter to the police. Adekunle was said to have told the police that Harrison had the habit of sleeping with boys in the area.

Punch correspondent visited the area on Friday, a police source said the two boys had been taken to the State Criminal Investigations Department, Yaba, adding that they would be charged to court soon.
At Ezeorji’s family apartment on Oladunjoye Street, Ikotun, his mother, Mrs. Chinyere Ezeorji, told PUNCH Metro that her son was a responsible boy who would never indulge in such an act. She added that he is still a virgin.
She said,

“My son is just 14 years old. He does not do such things. He is not even mature yet. He takes his bath outside, some times in the presence of his sisters to tell you that he is young. His father had died in September this year, and we have yet to bury him. The family is still grieving him. All I know is that there is no truth in the allegation.
“I don’t know about the other man. I have not even met him. On the day of the alleged incident, my son had strolled to the motor park, and there was a street fight. My son then told me later on that he was simply watching the fight, and he had been arrested by the police.”

When PUNCH visited Adekunle’s house address on Ijegun Road, his neighbours said he was no longer living in the place as he had moved to an unknown place in Ikotun. All efforts to also locate Harrison’s house or his family for comment were unsuccessful as of the time of this report.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, while confirming the arrest of the boys, said the suspects had also been charged to court.
He said, “Yes, they were arrested by the Ikotun Police Division, and they have been charged to court. In law, this offence is called sodomy, and it carries with it about seven to 14 years imprisonment if found guilty, going by an Act of the National Assembly.

“You know, it is even against culture and religion. The Christian, Islamic and even the traditional religions condemn this in its entirety. So, the case has been taken to court.”

Love is a beautiful thing! Faith weds Emu.. see annoucment video and Photos

I get really excited and happy seeing two people come together to be one. So I'm helping, gladly sharing and ringing their wedding bells to old and long lost friends home and abroad to come make their wedding a joyous one by joining them to take their marital vows ....

How we met

THE BRIDE: About 13 years ago, Emu used to be a wingman for one of my “toasters”. I didn’t accept the “toaster” (his cousin) but we all became friends and stayed in contact on social media. We met again in 2013 when I was visiting my parents. We were chatting on BBM and he visited me at home when I told him I was in town. I had to leave and go back to work the next day but we kept talking. When he told me how he felt, I was skeptical. I asked him “How can this work? There’s a lot of distance” but he persisted. I finally accepted and here we are.

THE GROOM: 13 years back, my cousin me told me about this girl he really likes. He said she’s a new student of the university and she’d be coming to DELSU, Abraka to look for an apartment and he wants us to help her out. I said okay. She came to Abraka and we helped her find a place. I always used to go with my cousin to see her and try to get her to date him but she never accepted. After we all graduated, we stayed talking on BBM. I lost her contact once and had to ask her for her BBM pin on Facebook. We kept communicating till 2013 when she told me she was in Nigeria. I didn’t believe her because she jokes around a lot but finally I went to see her at her parents’ house. There wasn’t enough time to hang out because she had to travel the next day. After she left, I told my cousin how I felt about her. He was ok with it so I asked her to be my girlfriend. She first of all asked for time to think about it. She wanted to be sure I was serious. Later, she accepted.

Hoodlums kill okada rider, flee with his hand

Election is by the corner, so a lot of terrible and gruesome attacks are happening daily, just that we do not get to hear of all the attacks but a few ..

Thugs invaded Adifase Street, Bariga, Lagos and hacked a motorcyclist, 28 years old Segun Atupa, to death.

They did not only hack him to death but they cut off one of his hands and left with.

According to PUNCH metro when they visited Adifase Street on Tuesday, it was learnt that Atupa’s corpse had been removed from the canal by policemen attached to the Bariga Division, Somolu.
A resident who wished to remain anonymous for fear of reprisal said the hoodlums pursued Atupa into the area and killed him.

He said, “On Friday at about 8pm, we were all outside enjoying the evening until we began to hear noises. That is not strange in this area. But we also heard gunshots, and you could feel that some people were running towards our street.

“Everyone was afraid and quickly rushed inside, bolting their doors. From inside my house, I was hearing deep voices of ‘pursue him and kill him’, ‘pursue him and kill him’. But no one could come out to check who it was. When it was morning, we saw the corpse of a man already killed and dumped in the canal.”

Our correspondent learnt from a police source that the motorcyclist was not only killed, but one of his arms was also amputated, and taken away by the hoodlums, an act synonymous with a local gang known as the EFCC boys.

When PUNCH Metro got to Atupa’s rented apartment on Olusoji Street, it was learnt from a neighbour that the motorcyclist’s wife had died from an accident, only about two weeks ago, and he was still grieving her death.
It was further gathered that apart from the motorcyclist, another man was attacked and killed the followiong day by Bajulaiye canal, Bariga Road. The yet-to-be-identified victim was said to have been removed also by policemen from the Bariga Division.

Another resident, Mr. Jamiu Oluyomi, said attacks on innocent lives in the area by thugs working for political parties had become commonplace, urging the police to intensify security in the Bariga and Somolu areas of the state.

He said, “These thugs are not ghosts. We know them, the police know them too. They use aliases such as Eyin Bouncing, Ologun, Sean Paul, and Tolu T-boy.”

When contacted, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, said he would get back to our correspondent. He, however, had yet to do so as of press time.
